Vega Energy is focused on continuing to build its scalable U.S. upstream and midstream oil and gas platform initially focused in the Western Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma and Texas. Vega Energy has expanded its operations into Custer County western Oklahoma through its acquisition of the Toklan assets. Vega Energy has established an Oklahoma operated base of stable low-decline oil and gas production, a significant acreage position for drilling and development and an associated midstream system.

Built for Scale , positioned for growth.
Upstream Oil and Gas Operations

Vega Energy's entry into the Western Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma through the Toklan acquisition provides an operated foundation of producing unconventional and conventional wells and acreage in Oklahoma and Texas. We are currently pursuing development drilling on the newly acquired Toklan acreage with an initial focus on the prolific Red Fork play, Cherokee Shale, Cottage Grove, Meramec and Woodford Shale formations. Vega Energy will also be pursuing joint-venture drilling partnership and bolt-on acquisitions of producing properties in and around our core operating areas. Consistent with our strategy to date, we target low-geological-risk, underpinned by long-life existing production where field-level development, drilling and remediation drive stable cash flow and long-term asset value.

Midstream operations

Vega Energy's midstream operations consist of the Deer Creek gathering system which gathers natural gas produced from our acreage as well as third party volumes from surrounding operators in Custer County, OK. As we develop this asset area, we are focused on growing system throughput, extending the system's footprint to serve neighboring producers, and evaluating synergistic bolt-on midstream acquisitions in our core operating area.

growth strategy

Vega Energy is pursuing a disciplined growth strategy built on three pillars:

  • A relentless focus maximizing value of our existing assets through continued implementation of operational efficiencies to drive increased production and minimize operating cost
  • Bolt-on acquisitions of producing properties with development drilling upside
  • Pursue joint-venture drilling partnerships that are synergistic to our operations

Together these initiatives position Vega Energy to scale its Western Anadarko Basin platform.

Infrastructure

Our core area of operation is in the Texas Panhandle where we own and operate hundreds of shallow oil and gas wells and a significant amount of infrastructure including gathering systems, power lines, disposal wells, workover rigs, water trucks, and much more to support our operation.  More importantly, we have an exceptional team of employees, vendors, and partners that ensure we operate an inclusive and respectful operation that is not only safe but extremely efficient.

Leadership That Drives Growth

Our management team brings decades of energy industry, operating, finance and transaction experience to guide Vega Energy's growth in the Western Anadarko Basin.
